How it works

Your wedding suit will be in every photograph of the day.

We make the groom's suit to your measurements. Tell us about the wedding: a quinta in the countryside or a palace in Sintra, a ceremony at noon or a dinner by candlelight, June heat or an autumn evening. That decides what we make. A three-piece suits the ceremony and the daylight; a tuxedo belongs to the evening. Many grooms wear both.

You choose the cloth from the books of Reda, Vitale Barberis Canonico and Loro Piana, then the lapels, buttons and lining. Your initials can be embroidered inside the jacket.

Collection

The tailors finish the back, the waist and the trouser length. You collect it well before the wedding.

João & Maria · Penha Longa, Sintra

One wedding day, two suits

João wore a navy three-piece for the morning and the ceremony, and a black tuxedo for the evening. What matters in each part of a long day.

Getting ready

The waistcoat keeps the line when the jacket comes off. A light blue tie and a white pocket square are enough in daylight.

Wedding in Portugal

Andrew & Anastasia

Ivory dinner jacket

Andrew married in an ivory double-breasted dinner jacket. In the morning it hung by the window next to a black bow tie; for the ceremony a white rose went on the lapel.

Ilya & Helena

Black suit, bow tie

Ilya chose a black suit rather than a tuxedo, with a bow tie. From the garden ceremony to the cake under the string lights, he wore the same suit all day.

What every photograph shows

Dinner jacket lapel with a boutonnière and a silk bow tie

Lapel

A black tuxedo has satin lapels; an ivory dinner jacket usually has lapels in its own cloth. The boutonnière and the bow tie sit right next to it, so the lapel comes first.

Waistband

Side adjusters instead of a belt. The trousers sit at the waist and stay there when you sit down and dance.

Our advice

Plan the suit early. It is one of the most important days of your life, and we want to rule out anything unexpected: a delayed cloth, an extra fitting, a change in weight before the wedding. The earlier you come in, the calmer the last weeks will be.

Questions

What grooms ask

How much does a wedding suit cost?

A made-to-measure groom's suit starts from €1,500 in Reda cloth; Vitale Barberis Canonico and Loro Piana cost more. Tuxedos from our collection are €1,850–1,950, with a free alteration.

How far in advance should I order?

Come in about three months before the wedding. The suit takes five to eight weeks with one fitting, and the rest is a margin in case anything changes.

Tuxedo or three-piece suit?

A tuxedo is for the evening: the dinner and the party. For a daytime ceremony or a wedding outdoors, most grooms choose a three-piece. Many wear both.

I live abroad. Can I still have a suit made in Lisbon?

Yes. Tell us your wedding date and when you will be in Portugal, and we plan the first appointment and the fitting around your trips.

Can I wear an ivory dinner jacket?

Yes, especially in summer and at a wedding outside the city. It is worn with black trousers, a white shirt and a black bow tie.

Can you embroider my initials?

Yes, inside the jacket. We discuss it at the first appointment.

Can you dress the groomsmen and the father of the groom?

Yes. We make suits to measure for the groomsmen and the father of the groom too. Tell us the date and how many people when you book.

Colours

Pick a colour and we'll send you options

Navy and black remain the classics. For a daytime wedding at a quinta, green, beige and brown suit the light; ivory belongs to a summer evening. Tap a colour and WhatsApp opens with a message ready: we reply with wedding suits in that colour.
